Welcome to Year 4!

Staffing

There are 3 classes in Year 4; Class 4B, 4SW and 4S. The teachers are Miss Beattie, Ms Stapleton and Mrs Wright, Miss Sumner, Mrs Kauser, Ms Barlow, Mrs Molla, Mrs Richard and Miss Marina

Spring 1

Maths – Children will be learning the 7 and 9 times tables and their associated division facts.  We will be using multiplication facts to solve problems.

Literacy – The children will be reading and exploring different instructional texts and writing their own.  They will also write a problem and solution to a story.

• PSHE – Feelings
• PE – Bollywood Dance Outdoor PE – Outdoor games
• MFL – French
• RE – What does it mean to be a Christian in Britain today?

Key Information

• Book bags/ Reading books – please bring these daily
• PE Days 4B – Monday (indoor) Friday swimming.
• PE Days 4S – Monday (indoor) and Friday (outdoor)
• PE Days 4SW – Thursday (indoor) and Friday (outdoor)
• PE kit (Indoor) – Plain white t-shirt, navy, or black shorts/leggings. NO TIGHTS Please.
• PE kit (outdoor) – Plain jumper, navy, or black leggings/joggers/shorts and trainers
• School starts at 8:45am
• Later in this half term there will be a parent meeting about the National Year 4 multiplication test focusing on all tables from 1 to 12.
