A message from our Principal

On behalf of the children, Parents/Carers, Governors and staff I would like to offer you a warm welcome to Wilbraham Primary School this academic year. At Wilbraham Primary, we strive to ensure each and every child achieves their true potential as reflective, lifelong learners through a supportive and caring environment. We have an incredibly strong community ethos where Parents/Carers and the School work together to ensure the children are at the heart of all we do. We combine this ethos with a research based approach to learning that meets the needs of all of our students.

This week I asked some of the children to tell me what Wilbraham means to them.

“ A family, a home, a place where we learn and grow. It is a place where we respect each other and listen to the rules but it’s also a place where we have fun.”

“Somewhere that makes me feel confident and safe.”

“The place that makes me feel special.”

“Somewhere that anyone is welcome. I love how they accept you even if you speak another language or you learn differently.”

As a school we have had a fantastic start to the year, the children are happy, enthusiastic and like me, looking forward to the year ahead.

We know our School could not achieve all that it does without the full and continued support of our families and I look forward to welcoming you into School as much as possible this year.

We aim to be approachable and work in partnership with parents and carers, so if there is anything you wish to discuss, please do not hesitate to come and talk to us.

Wilbraham Primary is a happy, caring place where everyone is successful and proud of their achievements.

At Wilbraham Primary, we are extremely proud of the curriculum we deliver and the additional learning experiences that we offer our pupils. Our personalised approach to learning encourages personal development and promotes high standards while keeping our curriculum broad and exciting. Our aim is to enable children to use and apply their essential literacy, numeracy and computing skills confidently in the classrooms and in everyday life.

We are proud to say that we are a school that is sharply focused on the future. We are at the forefront of new developments in ways of teaching and using modern technology as a tool for learning. Our 21st Century approach isn't just about gigabytes and Google, Wilbraham Primary is different because of the ways we use new technology and educational theory to make every child's experience here as effective and enriching as possible.
